Your Chamber and You

The Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce provides a vital link between area’s businesses and the community. This is especially evident with the annual Wheeling Symphony Live Concert. This free concert, open to the public for no charge, is supported largely by donations from local businesses, all members of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s concert is to be held at 7:30 p.m. July 3 at the Weirton Event Center located at 3322 East St.

The Weirton Area Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization and chamber member, has coordinated the concert for the past 23 years. This event has become a tradition in the community, with hundreds of people attending. Many bring their entire families with lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the outdoor, open-air concert.

Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce members and other important sponsors have recognized the cultural and entertainment value of this concert with their donations and support.

Donations are still being accepted. Checks can be mailed to Weirton Area Community Foundation, 3174 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, WV 26062.

This concert by the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, directed by Andre Raphel Smith, is made possible in part through the support of the Music for the Mountain State Endowment Fund.
