Heritage Library announces upcoming activities

MCDONALD – The Heritage Public Library’s Friends of the Library group will hold a drawing for Pittsburgh Steelers tickets, with tickets available until Sept. 13 at the library located at 52 Fourth St.

Tickets are $3 each or two for $5. The game date is 1 p.m. Sept. 28 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The library is holding the “Fizz, Boom, Read!” Summer Reading Program from 10:30 a.m. to noon Fridays, including Aug. 1, 8 and 15. The program is full, but to be placed on the wait list, contact the library.

Library staff are gauging interest in a summer session of the preschool story time program. Those interested in having their children participate should contact the library.

The Rev. Justin R. Amsler of the McDonald Presbyterian Church will hold a “Daniel Plan” book discussion at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 and 26.

The library’s book discussion group will discuss “The Spark,” by Kristine Barnett, at 1 p.m. Aug. 12.

The library board of directors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13.

The LEGO Club will meet from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 25. All ages are welcome with parental supervision. For information, call (742) 926-8400.
