Teddy Bear Tea set for Wednesday

WEIRTON – The Weirton Woman’s Club Literary Department will hold the 12th annual Teddy Bear Tea from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mary H. Weir Public Library’s downstairs activity room.

Those children aged 3 and older are invited to attend with an accompanying adult. Children will watch a video and hear a story about teddy bears, and Jim “The Magic Man” Tate will perform a magic show and make balloon animals.

Literary Department members will serve punch and cookies and award door prizes of bears and books. Each child will receive a teddy bear.

The event is free and open to the public.

The library is a co-sponsor of the event.

Enid Williams is the Literary Department chair, and Jeanne Amidon is the club president.

The club is a General Federation of Women’s Clubs of West Virginia member organization.
