Tomlinson Park Foundation holding quarter auction

NEWELL — The Tomlinson Run State Park Foundation will be holding a quarter auction on Sunday at the Wells Building, which is located on W.Va. Route 2, across from the entrance to the Homer Laughlin Outlet.

Doors open at 1 p.m., and the auction begins at 2 p.m. Bidders are required to buy one $5 paddle and have the option of purchasing up to two additional paddles for $1 each.

Among the 18 vendors participating are Scentsy, Manypenny Pretzels, Style Dots, Tupperware, Stella and Dot, Thirty-One, Gold Canyon, Mesh Wreaths, Renee’s Confections, Perfectly Posh, DeMarle at Home, Damsel in Defense, Two Sister’s Ceramics, Candy Wrapper Purses, Tastefully Simple, Origami Owl and It Works.

A baked potato bar, walking tacos, hot dogs and other food and beverages will be available to purchase. A Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing also are planned.

The TRSP Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports and assists Tomlinson Run State Park. Its efforts have provided new playground equipment, shelters, restrooms, new trails and other projects around the park, according to a news release.
