Funseekers enjoy ‘Joke Nite,’ award prizes for best, worst

WINTERSVILLE — President Larry Bauer welcomed 41 members to the Funseekers’ first meeting of 2017, which was held Feb. 1 at Zalenski’s Restaurant and Pub in Wintersville.

Entertainment for the evening was the Funseeker’s “Joke Nite,” which featured many members telling jokes and sharing stories. Prizes were presented to Mike DiBiasi for best joke of the evening and to Walt Klepadlo for the worst joke.

The business meeting included reports from the sunshine team on cards sent; a treasurer’s report by Karen Krause; and Bauer’s announcement of February birthdays and anniversaries.

Bauer announced callers are still needed for the phone committee.

John Balzano has contacted Aracoma Park in Mingo Junction to reserve a date for the July picnic, the date of which will be announced in March.
