Tickets available for ‘Retro Night’

STEUBENVILLE — Tickets remain available for the Ohio Valley Youth Network’s first fundraiser Retro Night dinner and concert it will host on Feb. 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 235 N. Fourth St.

Pastor Bobbyjon Bauman, president of the OVYN, said the event will feature hits from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s performed by more than 20 area high school and college-age youth and was inspired after he saw adults perform last year at Quinn Memorial A.M.E. Church of Steubenville’s Retro Night fundraiser.

Headliners for the February fundraiser will be three overall winners of the Valley’s Got Talent, one of many activities the OVYN sponsors. They are Savannah Grant, 2016 winner; Jacqueline Shea, 2015 winner; and Elisha Fletcher, 2014 winner.

The performers also portray the artists whose selections they have chosen to sing, with youth choosing a wide range of performers, from Peggy Lee and Bing Crosby to Janis Joplin and Joan Jett to Etta James and Sinead O’Connor.

Participants will include: Sammy Allison; Isaac Bauman; Elisha Fletcher; Glory Dami; Alexandra Kaine; Mariyka Sich; Frankie Russell; Courtnie Bube; Jacqueline Shea; Christiana Westlake; Trey Freeman; Connor Yoho; Katlin Rayl; Mary Joy Cutler; The Choir Chums, consisting of Ethan O’Nan, Annalyn Rhine, Rose Bergsma and Jim Craig; Vera Allen; Gemma Nelson and Michael Manocchia; Ally Tweedy; Autumn Duckworth; Savannah Grant; The Allegheny Angels, including Emily Bauman, Gabrielle Peterson, Glory Dami, Courtnie Bube, Frankie Russell, Mariyka Sich and Shelby Styer; and Therese Nelson.

Other artists include Chloe Lei and The Fletcher Boyz.

The cost for the meal catered by Manfred’s and concert will be $20 which will benefit the nonprofit OVYN, which supports The Valley’s Got Talent; iServe nine area before-school Fellowship of Christian Athletes Bible studies; the Sonshine Bible Club; and the Fellowship of Christian Students group from Eastern Gateway Community College.
