Montani Semper Liberi announces new arts events
The Montani Semper Liberi Music and Art at Oak Glen festival will be holding a charter trip to see the “The Pirates of Penzance,” by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, April 8 at the West Virginia Creative Arts Center in Morgantown.
The charter bus will leave Chester at 2:30 p.m., stop at Morgantown’s Suncrest Town Centre for independent shopping and dining, then stop briefly at West Virginia University’s Mountainlair before continuing on the creative arts center, where the musical begins at 7:30 p.m.
The charter trip includes orchestra seating and round-trip transportation. The cost per person is $54 with a discount of $5 per person for groups of four or more purchasing their ticket together. All proceeds benefit the festival.
Festival organizers also are presenting the WVU Percussion Ensemble, directed by George R. Willis, in special performances at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. May 9 at Oak Glen High School’s Little Theatre located on Golden Bear Drive, New Cumberland.
