Neon Knights, Country Friends
to entertain in Colliers
COLLIERS — Country Friends will host the Neon Knights tonight at the Memorial Hall located at 67 Police Lodge Road, Colliers.
The Country Friends Band will entertain on Saturday.
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. for both events. There is a $5 cover charge per person on dance nights.
Mondays are open mic, which begins at 6 p.m. The doors open at 4 p.m., and the covered-dish meal is at 5 p.m. There is no cover charge on Mondays, but donations are appreciated.
Patrons of any of the events can bring a covered dish if they desire. Country Friends Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Christian friendship and brotherly love through music.

Italian-American Cultural Club invites public to Festa Del Vino
WINTERSVILLE — At its October meeting, the Italian-American Cultural Club continued plans for its fall fundraiser.
“Festa Del Vino” will be held at St. Florian Hall, Luray Drive, Wintersville, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Nov. 3. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per person, and tickets may be purchased at Scaffidi’s Restaurant, Pittera’s Pizza, from committee members in advance or at the door. It is open to the public.
Chairman Todd Piergallini said the Northern, Central and Southern regions of Italy will be represented. The evening will include fine wines, foods, desserts and music from these areas of Italy. There will be a cash bar; Italian (Chinese) auctions; a silent auction; and a 50-50 “Pot of Gold.”
The fundraiser supports the five $1,000 scholarships awarded yearly and the club’s summer Campo Italiano for children. For information or to buy tickets, contact Todd at (740) 317-7255.
At the October meeting, Michele Fabbro, vice president of the Upper Ohio Valley Italian Festival, presented checks to Treasurer Frankie DiCarlantonio. Club members volunteered at the festival held in August.
The club is in need of a new president and vice president as the terms of those presently holding the positions, Jane Antonucci and Doby Piergallini, respectively, are expiring.
The Christmas party will be held Dec. 10.
Winners for the evening were Mike Zinno, Rose Chappano and Fabbro.

of programs and activities

Children: Babygarten, for parents with children birth to 2, meets Oct. 26 at 11:15 a.m. This is a lap-sit program that involves rhymes, books and songs to help babies with language development. No registration is required.
