BLACKMOOR LADIES LEAGUE

Blackmoor Ladies League played a low gross event on Oct. 2.

Winner for first place was Lori DeFaLllo. Finishing second was Lucy Karaan. Linda Caputo had long drive on hole No. 11. Kathie Moore had closest to the pin on hole No. 10 on the second shot. Signa Findley took low putts for the evening

WOMEN’S 18-HOLE GOLF LEAGUE

Sept. 28

Mountaineer’s Woodview Women’s 18-Hole Golf League members played their set format of one low gross, two low nets, proximity prizes on all par 3’s, longest putt made on hole No. 4 and lowest number of putts for the round.

Low gross winner for the round was Priscilla Mavrich shooting an 82. There was a tie for first low net between Lori Szymanek and Cathy Ralston. The tie was broken by a scorecard playoff with Szymanek taking first low net and Ralston winning second low net.

Closest to the pin winners on the Par 3’s were: Hole No. 6, Szymanek; hole No. 8, Mishal Hawthorne; hole No. 14, Mavrich; and hole No. 17, Debbie Provenzano.

Sinking the longest putt on hole No. 4 was Szymanek. Winner of the lowest putts for the round was Mary Ann Bainbridge with 28.

Birdies recorded were Hawthorne on hole No. 7 and Mavrich on hole No. 10.

The round concluded the 2017 golf season. The closing day luncheon and awards were held Friday at DeeJay’s.

TOWN AND COUNTRY

Town and Country Golf played a three-woman scramble for the last play day of the year on Sept. 28 followed by a luncheon meeting.

Winners were Signa Findlay, Lattee Chinakarn and Toni Jean Dondzila with a 40. Second place, with a 42, was Minnie Walters, Norma Henson and Sondra Hyde, and third place was Lucy Karaan, Jeanne Dowden and Nancy Lelli with a 43.

The group celebrated the 90th birthday of Edie Higgins during the luncheon.
