During Ag Week in March, the Jefferson County Farm Bureau celebrated Agriculture with several activities. The Ag Book of the Year, “John Deere, That’s Who,” was read to first-grade classes around the county by Farm Bureau volunteers, and a copy of the book was donated to each school library. In addition, place mats featuring the Farm Bureau activities in the county were used at several restaurants in the county. The highlight of the week, however, was the arrival of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau 2018 Ag Baby, a title given to the first baby born at Trinity West during Ag Week. This year the Ag Baby was Rylee Marriner, daughter of Page Fowler and John Marriner of Mingo Junction. Rylee was born at 10:33 a.m. on March 18. The family received gifts from the women of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee with several handmade baby items presented by P&E Committee Chair Jeanne Roberts, standing back.
