Credit unions host senior prom
The Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter of Credit Unions hosted a senior prom at Serra Village Retirement Community in Weirton recently for its residents in what was an evening of food, fun and entertainment. The credit unions provided favors to all residents attending the event; a disc jockey provided music; and Jim Tate entertained the crowd by performing magic tricks and creating balloon animals. Credit union representatives, along with volunteers from the Weir High Key Club, helped serve the food and cake and danced along with the residents. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of prom king Joe Dolentin and prom queen Betty Dolentin. A royal prom court also was named. The Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter consists of the Eagle Can Employees Federal Credit Union, First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union, Hancock School Employees Federal Credit Union, Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union and Tin Mill Community Federal Credit Union.
