Second show of the season Sunday

-- Janice Kiaski

It was a chilly start to the Steubenville Saddle Club’s 2018 show season when the first one was held April 29 at the club grounds located on state Route 152 N., Richmond, as participants and observers shivered their way through the event that included a variety of classes, from halter to contest. Warmer weather conditions are expected to prevail, however, for the second show set for Sunday, getting under way at 9 a.m. with halter/showmanship classes followed by English/Western performance classes and ending with contest classes that will not begin before 3 p.m. The club’s other two shows will be held July 15 and Sept. 16. Shows are open to the public, and admission is free. The club kitchen will be open and offers a variety of food for sale. Journi Fuller of Empire is shown on Rosie and with trainer Kathrien Miller of Bloomingdale.
