Vacation Bible Schools

'EGGED ON' — Wintersville United Methodist Church held its “Jesus, Down on the Farm” Vacation Bible School program the week of July 9-13, an outreach where participating children and adults collected more than 900 pairs of socks and underwear for Haitian children and raised more than $1,500 for the Helen Little Haiti Foundation. As a reward for the effort, the children got to turn the Rev. Clint Quillen, the church’s pastor, and Tiffany Manley, director of youth and VBS ministries, into chickens and “egg them.” -- Contributed
