Art association kicks off club year
STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville Art Association opened its club year on Sept. 19 at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville with a dinner attended by 24 members.
President Jeanne D’Anniballe opened with an invocation and a memorial for deceased members Moe Mechling and Becky King. A brief business meeting followed where Gina Judy, vice president, presented the new program books for the year and gave a brief overview on presenters, including October workshop speaker Doug Wynn of Aliquippa, Pa., still-life drawing.
Treasurer Suzan Corder gave a report.
The art association featured artist for September is Laura Andreini of Wheeling who has 22 watercolors on display at Historic Fort Steuben Visitor Center through Oct. 6.
Her art business is Dancing Watercolors. Andreini has exhibited at the Nutting Gallery at West Liberty State College, Stifel Center’s Crosscurrents, Artworks around Town, Summit Art Gallery and in the West Virginia Watercolor Society National Exhibitions and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society exhibitions. She also is a member of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society and the West Virginia Watercolor Society and is an associate member of the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society.
