John R. Dota, of Canfield, Ohio: Pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. Fined $100 and assessed court costs.

Mary L. Alpert, of Weirton: Charge of driving under the influence dismissed at prosecutor’s request and refiled as reckless driving.

Shane Kantsis, of East Palestine, Ohio: Pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (aggravated). Sentence of 30 days in jail suspended. Placed on six months’ unsupervised probation. Fined $200 and assessed court costs.

Laura M. Mills, of New Cumberland: Pleaded no contest to driving under suspension (DUI) and was found guilty. Fined $100 and assessed court costs. Charge of no proof of insurance dismissed upon defendant providing valid proof of insurance.

Michael V. Caranda, of Weirton: Pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and was found guilty. Fined $250 and assessed court costs. Charges of speeding, driving on roadway laned for traffic, no proof of insurance and no seat belt dismissed at prosecutor’s request.
