Hickory man arrested for possession of heroin

HICKORY, Pa. – Mount Pleasant Township Police Chief Lou McQuillan announced the department executed a search warrant at 55 Second St., Westland, Wednesday.

William Brian Jemison, 32, of that address, was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin and criminal use of a facility.

Police seized six bundles of heroin, drug paraphernalia, $1,000 in cash and a loaded .25-caliber semi-automatic pistol. The search warrant was issued as a result of an investigation into area heroin trafficking.

“The officers in the township worked very hard on eliminating this drug operation,” stated McQuillian. “I appreciate the help we received from the Cecil Township Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police. Without this cooperative effort, this arrest would not have been possible. We are not done.”

Jemison was booked into the Washington County Correctional Facility in Washington on a $50,000 straight bond, set by Magisterial District Judge David Mark.
