WEIRTON – There is still time for area residents interested in attending this year’s Taste of Home Cooking School, taking place today at the Serbian-American Cultural Center in Weirton.

The Taste of Home Cooking School is presented by The Weirton Daily Times and the Herald-Star, and will feature culinary specialist Michael Barna presenting 10 recipes for those in attendance.

Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $10 for general admission, $25 for preferred seating and $45 for VIP seats. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the cooking school will start at 7 p.m. VIP ticket holders are asked to be at the venue by 4:15 p.m. in order to gain entry to a special meet-and-greet reception with Barna.

Among this year’s major sponsors is Hancock County Savings Bank.

The bank has been a major local sponsor of the Taste of Home Cooking School for several years.

“Hancock County Savings Bank is pleased to be a major sponsor for the annual cooking school,” said Cathy Ferrari, president and chief executive officer of the bank. “This event has become a tradition; and people from the Tri-State Area look forward to it each year.
