Pennsylvania man arrested for Brooke homicide
BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. – A Pennsylvania man was arrested early today on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the shooting death of Jason Lee Pratz in Brooke County in February.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed Rocco Zuccaro, 27, of Pennsylvania was arrested by deputies from the department, the Brooke County Sheriff’s Department and U.S. Marshals Service at about 9:30 a.m. at a home on Bavington Road.
It wasn’t clear whether the home was Zuccaro’s.
Zuccaro is being held at the Washington County Jail, where he awaits an extradition hearing to West Virginia.
The Brooke County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Zuccaro’s arrest is in connection with an investigation of Pratz’ death but couldn’t provide details at this time.
Pratz, who was 30, was found dead at his home on Genteel Ridge in McKinleyville on Feb. 19.
During its investigation, the sheriff’s department had sought help from the public, including information about a vehicle seen near the home around that time.
