Toronto yard sale set for May 3-5
TORONTO – The city’s semi-annual yard sale will include garages and yards full of goods for the public to peruse on May 3-5.
The sale, organized by Wendy Coghe, is open to all residents and businesses in the Toronto area.
“I’m currently gathering a set of participants for this year’s sale,” said Coghe. “Anyone interested in participating and would like their sale to be added to the list should contact me with their address information, at (740) 457-8009 or (740) 537-3271 by Wednesday. If leaving a message, leave a name and phone number. I will contact (those calling) as soon as possible. Businesses and organizations are welcome to participate as well.”
The cost to participate in the citywide sale is free. However, donations are accepted to help defray the costs of maps and other expenditures, said Coghe. Donations can be sent to Wendy Coghe, 508 Euclid Ave., Toronto, OH 43964.
“I will be posting fliers that include a map and list of the participating yard sales throughout the weekend,” continued Coghe. “In addition, flier copies can be picked up at Riesbeck’s grocery store, Special Way grocery store, the City Municipal Building and some yard sales.”
Coghe said participants can choose to host their sale either one or both days. Bake sales also are welcome, she added.
“This event will happen rain of shine,” said Coghe. “I’m looking forward to once again seeing the city of Toronto come together as a community. With everyone’s help and participation we can hopefully make this happen for years to come.”
