Health Expo coming to Fort Steuben Mall

STEUBENVILLE – The Head-to-Toe Health Expo, sponsored by the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times, will be the place for information on all aspects of wellness from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8 at the Fort Steuben Mall’s center court.

The fair will include local health care providers offering information about various health topics, according to Denise Delatore, advertising director of the newspapers.

“The expo offers quality businesses the opportunity to show their products and services,” said Delatore, adding participating health care providers scheduled to participate include Trinity Health System, Valley Hospice, Dr. Charles Capito, McDonnell Chiropractic and Acuity Specialty Hospital at Ohio Valley. “Health professionals will be on hand to answer questions.”

Delatore said a variety of health care-related literature will be available for the public along with demonstrations of new health procedures and equipment. Trinity Health System will offer a live demonstration of its new robotic surgical assistant, and the public will be allowed to examine and even control the device, according to Keith Murdock, Trinity spokesman.

Trinity will have information on its new, three-dimensional mammography unit, said Murdock.

Prizes also will be part of the event, as door prizes provided by vendors will be given away. The grand prize includes a trip for four to Seven Springs Mountain resort, said Delatore.

All vendors will be provided with a table and chair, she added.

“The deadline to reserve a space is Tuesday, and we do events best,” said Delatore.
