Greco Plumbing going strong for more than 60 years

WEIRTON – For more than 60 years, Greco Plumbing has been among the mainstay businesses of the Weirton community.

Brought to Weirton in 1950 by brothers Joe, John and Victor Greco, the business originally had been located in Fairmont and started by their father, Domenico. They also started Greco TV Cable in the community.

For 50 years, the three brothers owned and operated Greco Plumbing before handing the reins over to the next generation.

“We’ve been at it for quite a while,” Jim Greco, Victor’s son and the company’s president, said.

Jim Greco joined the family business in 1985.

Greco Plumbing can be contacted at (304) 748-8484.

Among their services today, Greco Plumbing specializes in water heaters; water, sewer and gas line repairs and installations; kitchen, bath and laundry room repairs and new installations.

“We specialize in all plumbing services and aspects. We do all types of work,” Jim said. “We have a staff that can take care of all of it.”

The staff at Greco Plumbing are licensed, insured master plumbers, he said.

Greco explained their goal is to continue to provide their customers with honest, reliable, dependable and quality plumbing services.

Greco Plumbing was located at 3217 Main St. for 25 years before moving to 3924 Main St. The 2004 flooding of the Weirton community forced them to move to a warehouse facility.

For several years, Greco Plumbing has been named as the best plumber by readers of The Weirton Daily Times as part of the annual Readers’ Choice contest.
