Two seek Follansbee 1st Ward

FOLLANSBEE – Two have declared their candidacy for the seat on Follansbee Council representing the city’s 1st Ward.

They are Vito “Skip” Cutrone of 570 Main St. and Tom McMillan of 427 Main St.

Incumbent Jim Miller has chosen not to seek re-election.

A graduate of Brooke High School, Cutrone graduated from West Virginia University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication. A Follansbee native, he is owner of three Follansbee businesses: K&J’s Skip n Go, the Java Shoppe and Vito’s 2 Restaurant.

He said if elected, he will push for increased public safety and fiscal accountability and will maintain communication with the residents of his ward.

McMillan didn’t respond to requests for information.
