Boil order lifted in Weirton

WEIRTON – The boil order put in place for parts of downtown Weirton on Tuesday has been lifted, according to officials with the Weirton Area Water Board.

A press statement from the board noted the boil order, which affected residents and businesses on Wood Street, Grant Street and the 200 and 300 blocks of Marland Heights Road, had been lifted effective 9 a.m. today.

Residents in the affected areas may resume using their water without any restrictions or requirements to boil it.
