Police looking for convicted felon

WHEELING – Shawn Brookins, who pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in a 2008 murder in Wheeling, is again wanted by local law enforcement after police said he physically assaulted two females Friday morning inside a home on Main Street in Wheeling.

Police consider Brookins, 28, armed and dangerous. In addition to Friday morning’s assault, Brookins is wanted for a parole violation.

Brookins pleaded guilty in 2009 to a charge of voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Eric Crayton. An Ohio County Circuit Court judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
