Chester plans fundraiser for injured boy
CHESTER – A fundraiser for Tyler Simpson, a Chester boy who was seriously injured in a car-pedestrian accident last year, will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Chester Municipal Building.
The car cruise and silent auction arebeing sponsored by Chester City Councilman John “Woody” Woodruff and the Sons of the American Legion Post 121. The cruise-in will feature 30 trophies.
Items for the silent auction may be dropped off at Rock Springs Parts and Service, 600 Carolina Ave., Chester, or at 136 Carolina Ave., Chester.
Checks may be made out to “Tyler Simpson Love Cruise” and sent to Northern Hancock Bank & Trust, 226 Washington St., Newell, W.Va. 26050.
