Following the parade, the organization will have the surface available for local residents to skate on from noon to 6 p.m. at the Burgettstown Area Senior Center located at 200 Senior Way. The event also will feature live entertainment. Rainbow the Clown will be available, and a Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing will be held.

A bike run will be held Sept. 29 at the Mouse Trap located at 9212 Steubenville Pike, Bulger. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and last bike is out at noon. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The event will include music, a Chinese auction and a 50/50 drawing. The cost is $25 per rider and $10 for a passenger or non-riding participant.

The group plans to hold a Halloween-themed cash bash and car cruise on Oct. 27 at the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse located at 565 state Route 18, near the state Route 18/U.S. Route 22 interchange. Details will be announced as they become available.

The group also is offering facility sponsorships for $25 each.

The facility will include a regulation hockey rink, playground, splash park, walking track and skate rental/concessions/comfort facility with rental meeting and party rooms. It would be located on state Route 18 in Smith Township, just outside the borough, adjacent to Blue Devil Distributors. The estimated cost is $3.5 million.
