Making a difference

Members of the Interact clubs from Weir High School and Weirton Madonna High School spent Saturday at the Weirton Event Center and going door-to-door through the community collecting non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the Weirton Salvation Army and the Community Bread Basket. Dubbed the “Soups, Socks & Smiles” campaign, the effort partnered with several local businesses to collect food and clothing for the less fortunate as part of the observance of Make A Difference Day. Food collections also were taken during the schools’ respective football games this weekend.
