Eat ‘n Park to “round-up” the checks
WEIRTON – The Eat ‘n Park restaurant in Weirton will be holding a special event Sunday as part of this year’s Caring for Kids Campaign.
From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, the restaurant at Three Springs Drive, will be introducing its “Rodeo Roundups” program, during which time employees will be dressed in Western wear and encouraging guests to round their checks to the nearest dollar.
The additional money will be donated to the Caring for Kids Campaign, held each year to benefit Children’s Hospitals in the region, including the one in Pittsburgh.
In its 35th year, the Caring for Kids Campaign is being held through Dec. 15, during which time Eat ‘n Park restaurants will be holding a variety of events. Among those events is a drawing for a chance to win a new Ford Fusion, provided by the Neighborhood Ford Store dealer group.
Since its 1979 inception, the Eat ‘n Park Caring for Kids Campaign has raised more than $8 million for children’s hospitals located throughout the restaurant chain’s service area. Last year’s campaign raised more than $420,000 for hospitals and charities across Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
