Santa Claus to arrive Saturday

STEUBENVILLE – Santa Claus will arrive at the Fort Steuben Mall Saturday, and officials have organized a full day of activities.

The annual St. Paul School’s Breakfast with Santa will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will be held in the space across from Spencer’s and will feature breakfast from Eat ‘n Park courtesy of Center Pharmacy and Toronto Apothecary, fingerprinting from New York Life, a special craft project from Lowe’s and a visit from Santa. A personal photo booth will be set to so attendees can have their pictures taken with Santa. Space is limited for this event and children must RSVP and pre-pay in order to attend. The cost is $15 per children between the ages of 4 and 8. Crafts from the Heat will hold its annual Christmas open house from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will feature door prizes and refreshments.

The JB Green Team will conduct its free ornament making project from noon to 1 p.m. There will be a free ornament making craft project just off center court for the first 100 children beginning at noon. Children will be able to choose from several different ornaments and take their project home with them that day.

WOGH-FM will conduct a live broadcast from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at center court. The event will include prizes and giveaways.

The Casey Sisters Dance Academy will hold its annual holiday performance from 1:15 p.m. 2 p.m. The team will escort Santa into his workshop at 2 p.m.

Digital photos with Santa will be available immediately following his arrival. Santa will be in his workshop until Dec. 24 during the following hours: noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays in November and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays in December. Santa will be available between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 through Dec. 23 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 24.

Santa will host a gingerbread house decorating project from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 11. The event will feature Santa reading “The Night Before Christmas.” It is free and open to children 12 and under, but registration must be made no later than Dec. 6 by calling (740) 264-7781 or by e-mail at

Santa will pose with family pets from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 4. Participants in the Paws and Claus event should use the main mall entrance near Quiznos and go straight to Santa’s workshop.
