Mountaineer holds food drive

CHESTER – Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort, with the help of patrons, donated 2,245 cans of food to the Salvation Army on Saturday during a canned goods drive at the casino.

“We are pleased that Mountaineer Casino, through the generosity of our patrons, is able to help the Salvation Army collect food for those in need of assistance during this holiday season,” Chris Kern, general manager said. “We applaud the Salvation Army and our patrons for providing for needy families who may be having a tough time putting dinner on the table.”

The canned goods drive was held in the Mountaineer Casino hotel lobby on Saturday when 449 guests donated five cans of food each.
