WMC opens new All About Women suite
WEIRTON – Weirton Medical Center has announced the opening of its new All About Women Suite.
The 9,000 square foot, state-of-the-art women’s care suite is located on the main level of the hospital’s Medical Office Building and can be accessed through the hospital’s south entrance.
Tina Cutone, MD, Rachel Gilman, MD and Kelly Devoogd, DO, Obstetrics/Gynecology, are accepting new patients as Weirton Medical ushers in a new era in women’s health in the Weirton-Pittsburgh Route 22/30 Corridor.
“The new All About Women Suite has really been a labor of love. Drs. Cutone, Gilman and DeVoogd have been involved every step of the way to ensure this facility is the premier women’s care destination anywhere around, where excellence and compassion are paramount,” said Kelli McCoy, director of communications.
“The New All About Women Suite is home to the area’s first High-Risk Obstetrics program. In the past, local women would have to travel to larger cities for their appointments if their pregnancies were considered higher risk. Now, they can come right here for all their prenatal care,” said David Artman, director of WMC operations.
WMC partners with Allegheny Health Network to offer telemedicine to patients which provides them with a direct link to Ronald L. Thomas, MD, maternal fetal medicine.
Working with Thomas at WMC is registered ultrasonographer, Jenny Landan who has 13 years of experience in High-Risk Obstetrics and trained under Thomas, the director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at West Penn Allegheny Hospital.
Along with ultrasound, the new suite boasts all the latest technology in its special gynecologic procedure rooms.
The suite has a hospitality area and a children’s play space, as well as a private registration room.
All About Women will maintain office hours at their Steubenville location as well.
