MedExpress partners with Quick Fit for wellness program

WEIRTON – MedExpress Urgent Care is partnering with Quick Fit Gym to offer the wellness program, “A Better Me in 2014,” to the Weirton community.

The program will take place Feb. 1 to May 31.

Individuals and businesses will be able to participate in the program through weekly weigh-ins, fitness classes, nutrition segments and a “Ask the MedExpress Doc” session for the opportunity to win monthly health and fitness prizes.

The individual who completes the program with the largest weight loss percentage will receive a year-long membership to Quick Fit Gym and five personal training sessions.

“We’re excited to offer A Better ME in 2014 to the Weirton community,” said Jennifer Anderson, center manager, MedExpress. “We are dedicated to supporting our community and enjoy the opportunity to partner with other local businesses that help play a role in the area’s healthcare.”

Registration for “A Better Me in 2014” will take place at Quick Fit Gym, located at 3520 Pennsylvania Ave. in Weirton, on Feb. 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Quick Fit and MedExpress staff will be on-site to welcome participants and explain program details.

Businesses with five or more employees who successfully complete the program will be entered for a chance to win free advertising at Quick Fit Gym throughout the year.

“We are happy to partner with MedExpress because their goal is the same as our goal – a healthy, fit community,” said Nick Devrnja, owner of Quick Fit Gym.
