Sparkling Moments Bridal Show approaching
WINTERSVILLE – Calling all brides-to-be – the fourth-annual Sparkling Moments Bridal Show is less than two weeks away.
The event is scheduled to run from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 26 at St. Florian Hall. Area brides-to-be will have an opportunity to win a dream honeymoon while enjoying a free champagne luncheon and viewing a variety of wedding and vacation fashions.
All brides-to-be will receive free admission to the event, a bag of goodies supplied by its many vendors and a chance to with a variety of door prizes. The grand prize this year is a trip that includes a stay in Cocoa Beach, Fla., as well as a four-night Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Bahamas.
The trip is courtesy of Todd Piergallini, owner of Piergallini Catering, which will provide the luncheon at the bridal show. Carson Travel is providing the four-night cruise. Additional main sponsors include the Herald-Star, The Weirton Daily Times, Sorelle Bridal Salon, Phil-Mor Tuxedo Outlet, Anna-Kay’s Unique Fashions, Fabian Formals of Hollywood and D.J. Johnathan Mihellis.
“It is nice to be apart of the best bridal show in the Ohio Valley year after year,” said Mihellis, who has been a part of the show since its inception. “I am excited to provide the music for the fashion show as well as a main sponsor and supporting vendor.”
At 2 p.m., a fashion show will feature assorted gowns and other wedding apparel, elegant tuxedos and a variety of destination wear. Sorelle Bridal Salon will show bride and bridesmaid designs while Anna Kay’s will present vacation destination fashions. Phil-Mor will provide the tuxedos as Mihellis delivers music and entertainment. Fabian Formals of Hollywood, a first-time sponsor, will display mother-of-the-bride styles.
“We took the bridal shop over a year ago and the former owner hadn’t been doing the shows,” explained Fabian Formals owner Diana Lash. “I think participating in this show is important. We are a local shop and believe brides, mothers of the brides and bridesmaids should shop local. We wanted to put ourselves out there so that people know what we are carrying and will stop by the shop to browse our fashions.”
Admission is $10 for other guests, which includes the lunch. Reservations are strongly recommended and may be made online at www.heraldstaronline.com. For information, call the Herald-Star at (740) 283-4711.
Last year’s event was attended by more than 500 brides and their friends.
“Our bridal show has quickly become a premiere bridal show for the Ohio Valley,” said Cindy Kotsch, special events and marketing coordinator for the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times.
Kotsch said one thing that sets it apart is the elegant setting, with music supplied by the Howard Family Orchestra while those attending enjoy a champagne luncheon. Another is the assortment of goodies supplied by the event’s many vendors. And the major draw, of course, is the chance to win the trip to Cocoa Beach, Fla., along with the four-night cruise to the Bahamas.
Accommodations for the Florida trip are two blocks from Cocoa Beach, which is on the Atlantic coast, just south of Cape Canaveral and near the Kennedy Space Center.
Leigh Ann Arnholt with Carson Travel is excited to sponsor and attend the event this year.
“We helped with the travel planning last year but this will be our first year as a main sponsor,” she stated. “We were contacted last minute last year so we didn’t have enough time or manpower to get to the event. We were just able to help out with the planning. However, we did see a nice response from the attendees. This year, we are more in front of everything and able to actually be at the event. We have a great partnership with St. Florian Hall and Todd so this year will be a good indicator of what can happen.”
