Day of Prayer to be observed in Weirton
WEIRTON – The Weirton Ministerial Association, in cooperation with the National Day Of Prayer Task Force, will host a National Day of Prayer service at noon Thursday in front of the Weirton Municipal Building.
This year’s theme is “One voice, united in prayer: We pray!”
The event, which will include local clergy offering prayers for the community, state, country and citizens, is open to the public.
To further highlight the theme, Romans 15:6 has been selected as the scripture for this year: “So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
In addition, Weirton Mayor George Kondik is expected to be in attendance, announcing a proclamation to officially recognize the Day of Prayer in the city.
