C.H.A.N.G.E. announces summer food program sites

WEIRTON – Officials with C.H.A.N.G.E., Inc. have announced the organization’s sites for its Summer Food Service Program, which provides meals for area youth up to 18 years of age.

This year’s locations and availability includes:

Follansbee Park, June 9 to Aug. 1, and closed July 4, 10 and 11. Lunch 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch. Breakfast will not be available.

Wellsburg 4th Ward Park, June 16 to Aug. 1, and closed July 4. Lunch 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Breakfast will not be available.

Jefferson Primary School as part of Energy Express, June 23 to Aug. 1, and closed July 4. Lunch 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Wellsburg Primary, June 9 to June 11; June 16 to June 18; and June 23 to June 26. Lunch 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Breakfast will not be available.

Wellsburg Middle, June 9 to June 11; June 16 to June 18; and June 23 to June 26. Lunch 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Breakfast will not be available.

The Dunbar Center, Tuesday through Friday from June 9 to Aug. 1, and closed Mondays and July 4. Lunch noon to 1 p.m. Breakfast will not be available.

Weir Middle School, as part of Energy Express, June 23 to Aug. 1, and closed July 4. Breakfast 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Oak Glen Middle, as part of Energy Express, June 23 to Aug. 1, and closed July 4. Breakfast 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Mercy Baptist Church, as part of Cloverbuds program, June 23 to June 27. Breakfast 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

In 2013, 861 area youth received 12,136 meals through distributions at 16 local sites.
