Joseph Sisters, Legend performing on Friday

WEIRTON – The Joseph Sisters and Legend will perform as part of the second-to-last show in the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitor’s Bureau summer concert series, beginning at 7 p.m., Friday at the Weirton Event Center.

“We are so excited to have two of the top Ohio Valley bands, the young up-and-coming Joseph Sisters and valley favorite, Legend, with us on the same night.” says CVB Director Dan Greathouse. “You don’t want to miss this evening.”

The Joseph Sisters, including Marybeth, Jamie and Shalyn, are a country-soul act and will be the opening act, taking the stage at 7 p.m.

Legend will perform at 8 p.m. The seven- to 10-piece band includes four vocalists and specializes in R&B and oldies. Legend performs regularly in Wheeling, Charleston, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Cleveland.

The gates open at 6 p.m. Free parking is available at the Millsop Community Center parking lot, the Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union lot with the exception of the ATM lane, Main Street and the Lee Avenue alley.

In addition to events planned by the Top of West Virginia, the Weirton Event Center is available for rent for family, community or organizational events. Rental includes the use of the grounds, onsite restroom facilities, the stage and a paved, covered picnic/meeting area.
