STEUBENVILLE — The topics of past presentations in the Herald-Star Speaker Series have helped to provide entertaining and informative evenings for residents of the Tri-State Area.

They also provide a great night out, and that, according to Leslie Icuss of Legal Hair and Day Spa, is something our region can be proud of.

“I love the speaker series,” Icuss said. “It is one of the fun things to do in our area.”

Judge Jeanine Pirro will be the next speaker when the series resumes at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Steubenville High School auditorium. She’s the host of “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” which airs at 9 p.m. Saturdays on the Fox News Channel. She’s a commentator and legal expert who has served as a judge and prosecutor in Westchester County, N.Y.

Legal will be providing hair and makeup services to Pirro while she is in Steubenville, and that’s an assignment Icuss says the salon is looking forward to.

“I just love Jeanine Pirro,” Icuss said. “I don’t think we’re going to have to work very hard — she is so beautiful.”

Pirro’s appearance will be the seventh in the series. Past speakers have included Clint Hill and Lisa McCubbin, Antonio and Jonna Mendez, Capt. Richard Phillips, retired Air Force Col. Mark Tillman, Rebekah Gregory and Mark Geist.

Reserved seat tickets for her presentation remain available at a cost of $20 each. All reserved seats will cost $25 if purchased at the auditorium Monday night.

There are very few preferred seating packages still available, organizers have announced. The cost of each package is $60, and that includes a reserved seat ticket near the front of the Steubenville High School auditorium to hear Pirro speak; the choice one of two books written by Pirro — “He Killed Them All: Robert Durst and My Quest for Justice” or “To Punish and Protect: Against a System that Coddles Criminals” — and a priority spot in line for an opportunity to have the book signed by Pirro after the presentation.

A VIP event prior to Pirro’s appearance at the YWCA already has sold out. That package included a pass for parking at Tri-State Financial Services.

Tickets, as well as copies of “He Killed Them All” and “To Punish and Protect,” are available for purchase at the Herald-Star, 401 Herald Square, during regular business hours. For information or to purchase tickets, call Diana Brown at (740) 283-4711.

Joining the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times as series sponsors are Trinity Health System, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Eastern Gateway Community College, Cattrell Cos. Inc., the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and WTRF-TV. Helping Legal Hair and Day spa to provide special support are the Best Western Plus University Inn, Piergallini Catering, Steubenville City Schools, Hertz-Thrifty Car Rental, the YWCA and Tri-State Financial Services.
