Paris Presbyterian Church sets events
PARIS — The Paris Presbyterian Church has announced upcoming events at The Gathering Place Coffee Shop located at 127 Steubenville Pike.
They include:
• 6 p.m. Sunday, annual Christmas program, “What If Christmas Happened in the Summer?” Refreshments and cookies will be served after the program.
• noon Dec. 15, “Weirton Medical Center Wellness Series: What Shots Should You Get?” Nurse Sheila DeCaria will discuss immunizations. A light lunch will be served.
• 7 p.m. Dec. 16, “Jimmy Z Trio Christmas Concert.” The group will perform Christmas standards.
• 1 p.m. Dec. 19, Monday afternoon movie featuring “The Nativity Story.”
• 10 a.m. Dec. 20, “Color Me Calm.” The class explores the adult coloring trend.
• 7 p.m. Dec. 31, “New Year’s Eve Concert With Robert Dale, Elvis Tribute Artist.”
• noon Jan. 6, The Gathering Place Book Club. Hot soup and hot and cold drinks will be served. The group is open to men and women of all ages and will discuss books of all genres.
• 1 p.m. Jan. 9, Monday afternoon movie featuring “Do You Believe?”
• 10 a.m. Jan 10 and 24, “Color Me Calm.”
• noon Jan. 11, Winter Wonderland women’s tea. Tea and a light lunch will be served, and Colleen Mindzak will provide music.
• 1 p.m. Jan. 16, bingo.
• noon Jan. 18, “Coffee With the Author: Sherrie McCutcheon.” A light lunch will be served.
• 7 p.m. Jan. 20, Chelsea Matta will perform, followed by open mic night.
• 1 p.m. Jan. 23, Monday afternoon movie featuring “The Letters: The Untold Story of Mother Teresa.”
• 1 p.m. Jan. 30, Monday afternoon movie. The movie will be announced.
There is no cost to attend any event unless otherwise noted. All events are open to the public.
