WINTERSVILLE — The Tri-State Home and Garden Show will return this weekend at a new location while still showcasing a variety of goods and services available from area businesses and organizations throughout the Tri-State Area.

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Florian Hall.

Plans call for the exhibitors to occupy not only the hall, which is at 286 Luray Drive, but also the adjacent Wintersville Fire Station.

Attendees will get a sampling of food prepared by Piergallini Catering.

Organized by Wheelhouse Creative of Wheeling, the event is being co-sponsored by DeNoon Lumber and Weirton Medical Center, with support from the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.

Brenda Mull, president of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce, said while the move was necessitated by the closing of the Serbian-American Cultural Center, she hopes the new location will attract people from more areas of the Ohio Valley.

Tricia Maple-Damewood, president of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, said the change reflects the regional collaboration between the two chambers in promoting local businesses.

She and Mull noted the two chambers have many members in common, and all of the businesses are eager to serve people from throughout the Tri-State Area.

The same is true for Weirton Medical Center, said Lisa Conti, director of physician practices for the hospital, who added, “We’re excited to be a part of the event again this year.”

She said representatives of each of the hospital’s departments plan to be on hand as well as wellness nurses from WMC who will provide blood pressure checks and other free screenings.

Among the event’s other participants are contractors and vendors specializing in landscaping, window cleaning, interior remodeling, furniture, roof repair and bathroom design.

Rob Vandine of Wheelhouse Creative said to date more than 50 exhibitors have been booked, with some space still available.

“The event’s selling out quickly, and we’re looking forward to another great year,” he said.

Those interested in reserving a table at the show should call Vandine or Brandi Waligura at (304) 905-6005.

The cost for exhibitors is $450 per booth and $425 for each additional booth. Chamber members may pay $350 for the first booth and $325 for each additional booth.
