Brooke grand jurors indict 19

WELLSBURG — The Brooke County grand jury on Monday indicted 19 area residents, including two men charged with operating a meth lab in two separate cases.

James Stevey, 33, formerly of 91 26th St., Wellsburg, and Charles G. Yost Jr., 39, of 3532 Elm St., Weirton, each were indicted on counts of operating a clandestine drug lab and conspiring to do so.

According to the indictments, Stevey operated a meth lab at the Wellsburg apartment where he lived while Yost was producing the drug at a home on Hooverson Heights.

Also indicted were:

• Brian Benton, 34, of 38 Mill St., Richmond, malicious wounding, for allegedly beating and kicking another man, breaking his jaw.

• Justin M. Collins, 27, of 257 Pennsylvania Ave., Colliers, on 24 counts of third-degree sexual assault for alleged sexual intercourse with a teen.

• Logan S. Daugherty, 27, of Follansbee, on 12 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian, six counts of incest and two counts of third-degree sexual assault for alleged sexual contact with two minors.

• Jesse J. Hubbard Jr., 47, of 673 Spring Ave., Mingo Junction, for first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of third-degree sexual assault and nine counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian for alleged sexual contact and intercourse with a minor in his care.

• Jim G. Kadin, 56, of Lamarque, Texas, two counts each of first-degree sexual assault and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian, for alleged sexual contact with a child.

• Mark J. Mitchell, 44, of 2008 Commerce St., Wellsburg, three counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian for alleged inappropriate touching of a teen in his care.

• Randall Adams, 44, of 68 Davis St., Weirton, third-offense driving under the influence.

• Michael A. Colley, 32, of 220 Elmer Ave., Weirton, fleeing in a vehicle with reckless disregard for public safety and while under the influence and fleeing on foot.

• Brenda Green, 48, of 150 Leonard Ave., Wintersville, escape from home confinement.

• Nora Haspel, 36, of RD 3, Wellsburg, two counts of delivering a controlled substance.

• William Holt, 47, of 203 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, delivering heroin and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

• Anthony D. Hurst, 44, of 1290 Holberts Run Road, New Cumberland, grand larceny auto, driving under the influence and driving while license revoked for DUI.

• Travis E. Knight, 32, of 7200 township Road 120, Adena, counterfeiting money and conspiring to do so.

• Laken M. Jordan, 31, address unknown, conspiring with Knight to counterfeit.

• Michael R. McWha, 33, of 1421 Pleasant Ave., Wellsburg, breaking and entering in connection with the theft of cash from The Crooked Dock restaurant and escape from home confinement.

• Linsey R. Siudak, 23, of 885 Highland St., Follansbee, for third-offense shoplifting, entering with the intent to commit a larceny, conspiring to commit the offense and failure to appear.

• Blaise R. Torrance, 26, of 132 Greenwich Ave., Steubenville, third-offense driving under the influence.
