Summit exhibit unveiled
The Hancock County Arts Council unveiled the latest display of local artists to go on exhibit at the Summit Art Gallery, during a reception held Thursday night. The art, to be on display over the next three months, features five area artists, three of whom have never had their work on display. Featured artists include the photography of Dennis Jones, of Weirton; paintings by Lora Russell, of Hookstown; paintings by Jeff Grace, of Weirton; graphite and pencil portraits by Larry V. Straney, of Bloomingdale; and pottery and tin can art by Donna Sullivan, of Wellsburg. The Summit Art Gallery, located at 3393 Main St. in Weirton, is operated by the Hancock County Arts Council and the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau. — Craig Howell
