Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort, on Thursday, distributed more than 800 turkeys to local charities and organizations to assist those in need for the holidays. Among those receiving turkeys were the Mountaineer Chaplaincy, F.I.S.H., Community Resource Center in East Liverpool, the Wells Building, New Cumberland Social Service, Salvation Army Weirton Corps. and the Community Bread Basket. Mountaineer has organized the turkey distribution for more than a decade. — Craig Howell
