Sheriff seeking suspect in Chester Subway robbery

CHESTER — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information after the robbery of the Subway sandwich shop in Chester Monday.

The sheriff’s department reports the Subway, located at 2456 Lincoln Highway, was robbed at approximately 4:26 p.m. Monday by a white man, wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a black zip-up hoodie, black toboggan, with a black and white bandana covering his face. The individual was reported as driving a gold, four-door Chevrolet Cavalier with what appears to have been Ohio license plates.

Officials say surveillance video shows the vehicle traveling back and forth on U.S. Route 30 before approaching the Subway. It was last seen traveling across the Jennings Randolph Bridge into Ohio.
