Approximately 250 area youth turned up at the Edwin J. Bowman Field Saturday morning for the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation’s annual Easter egg hunt. The event, which included a bounce house, a visit from the Easter Bunny and refreshments, was sponsored by Hancock County Savings Bank, the Weirton Elks, Edwin J. Bowman, Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Novelty Plus, Weirton Wal-Mart, Follansbee Sheetz, Weirton Dairy Queen and Weirton Rental. Organizers were assisted by volunteers from the Weir High swim team and Hancock County Savings Bank. — Craig Howell
