Man transported following accident

FOLLANSBEE — A Follansbee man was transported by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh area hospital after falling from a tractor he was riding on Eldersville Road Wednesday morning.

The Brooke County Sheriff’s Department said Zachary Tost, 33, of Follansbee was riding a tractor towed by a vehicle driven by Elmer E. Mollohan Jr., 35, of Wellsburg, when Mollohan slowed near Kaul’s bend, causing the tractor to veer into the rear of his vehicle.

Tost is believed to have sustained a severe head injury. His condition isn’t known.

Mollohan has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.
