WEIRTON — Verizon TCC and Wireless Zone stores nationally are holding their annual backback giveaway on Sunday, providing up to 187,000 backpacks full of school supplies nationwide.

Locally, the annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway will be held 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Verizon/TCC location at 241 Three Springs Drive.

Up to 220 backpacks are being made available at each location. Backpacks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Since 2013, TCC has donated more than 752,000 backpacks as part of the event.
