Manchin, Morrisey to face off in two debates

WHEELING — Sen. Joe Manchin’s campaign, Friday, announced the senator will participate in two statewide debates against his Republican opponent, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey.

The first debate will take place on Oct. 14 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, hosted by the Ogden Newspapers, NCWV Media and H-D Media.

The second debate will take place on Nov. 1 in Morgantown. It will be hosted by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association.

“I look forward to an honest debate with Pat Morrisey because West Virginians deserve to know the truth about his record,” said U.S. Senator Joe Manchin. “Voters want to know why Pat joined a lawsuit to allow insurance companies to deny coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, why he wanted to put our teachers in jail, and how Pat made his millions from the opioid industry.”
