The Appraisal Guys coming to Oglebay

WHEELING — The Appraisal Guys, Tim Luke and Greg Strahm, will return to Oglebay Park for a benefit auction of a variety of wine, jewelry, food, gift baskets, dining experiences, resort packages and other items beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Mansion Museum.

The two are members of the International Society of Appraisers and have appeared on PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow,” HGTV’s “Cash in the Attic” and Fox’s “Strange Inheritance.”

As auctioneers, they have presided over the sale of an Honus Wagner baseball card, the dress worn by Marilyn Monroe when she sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President,” and items from the estate of Michael Jackson.

Admission for the event, which will include a social hour, is $25 and is due when making reservations. To make reservations or register an absentee bid, call (304) 242-7272.

Proceeds will go to the Museums of Oglebay Institute.

Concert set today in Weirton

WEIRTON — Chuck Lucas brings his acoustic guitar to the stage tonight at the Weirton Event Center.

Lucas has played with the Joesph Sisters and is no stranger to the event center.

Headlining is local favorite Rumors.

Gates for the concert will open to the public at 5 p.m. Free parking is available for all events in the Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union lot off Main Street, the alley off Lee Avenue, the Millsop Community Center and on Main Street. Bus service is available from Millsop Community parking lot.

Ohio Valley Cloak & Dagger Co. sets radio dramas

WEIRTON — The Ohio Valley Cloak & Dagger Co., in partnership with Striplight Community Theatre of Weirton, will present two September performances of “Cloak & Dagger On the Air,” its ongoing theatrical series that reimagines classic radio dramas.

On Sept. 15, Cloak & Dagger will present “Cloak & Dagger On the Air: Fatal Illusions” at 7 p.m. at Brooke Hills Playhouse in Brooke Hills Park, Wellsburg. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for seniors, students and military.

On Sept. 22, Cloak & Dagger will perform “Cloak & Dagger On the Air: Blind Shuffle” at Davis Brothers’ Pharmacy Pavilion in Chester City Park, located at 375 W. Carolina Ave. in Chester.
