OLTON, Frank, 93, of Steubenville, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Trinity West.
He was born Dec. 28, 1919, in Colliers, WV., the son of the late Walter and Mary Dombic Olton, Frank is also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph and three sisters, Iva Michalik, Grace Jaminski and Stella Keller.
Frank worked at the former Federal Paper Board Co. for 38 years and then retired from the Jefferson County Highway Department in 1985.
Surviving are his wife; Mary Tluchowski Olton whom he married May 20, 1948, two sons, Frank Olton of Yorkville and Michael Olton of Steubenville, one daughter, Joan (Thomas) Dohnal of Wintersville; three grand children, Eric Olton, David (Annie) Dohnal and Megan Dohnal, on great granddaughter, Isabella Dohnal.
Frank was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, he served his country in U.S. Army during WWII and also in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Calling hours are Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville, A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s, Fr. Tim Huffman, celebrant. There will be a vigil service at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
