Lelon Frank Glasure
GLASURE, Lelon Frank, age 82, of Toronto, passed away, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the home of his daughter Mary Snell.
He was born Nov. 5, 1930, in Toronto, OH the son of the late Reverend Lelon R. Glasure (2003) and Martha Elizabeth Rawson Glasure.
Lelon was a member of the Toronto Wesleyan Church and was a graduate of the Jefferson Union High School. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.
He was retired from the former Hancock Manufacturing Company of Toronto.
Lelon was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cynthia Louise (Dorand) Glasure (2009) whom he married June 4, 1950; daughter, Anna Louise Glasure (1953).
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Robert L.) Kinest of East Liverpool, OH and Mary Snell of Toronto, OH; sons, Frank E. Glasure of Toronto, OH and Robert L. (Linda) Glasure of Smithfield, OH; sister, Lorena Goddard of Toronto, OH; brothers, Wayne (Netta) Glasure of Charleston, WV; Harold (Mary Ann) Glasure of Minerva, OH and Edward (Alma Dean) Glasure of Steubenville, OH; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours for Lelon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18th at Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 855-847-1240.
There will be full Military Honors by the Toronto American Legion Monday February 18th 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed immediately by a celebration service of Lelon’s life with Pastor Jared Robison of the Toronto Wesleyan Church.
Lelon’s interment at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
